Observation Engine was featured in a CCSSO blog post about a February webinar regarding educator evaluation. The full blog post can be viewed here.

Based on our work with the Gates Foundation on the MET Project, Steve Cantrell discussed Observation Engine and its abilities. Cantrell was quoted in the post as saying, “Observation Engine is one of the most mature products available.” The post also discusses Observation Engine’s capacity to calibrate and certify raters, as well as support training of teachers. The system uses a combination of practice observations, feedback, and re-tests during preparation. Supplementary exams can re-certify evaluators and check for raters drift throughout the year.
